A Message From Art on the Porches

Dear Friends,

With the world in such a state of uncertainty and upheaval one can’t help but be impressed and hopeful with the explosion of art and music that continues to be shared with the world.   It is this resilience that will see us all through this crisis. Separately we are all together.

It’s in the spirit of that resilience that we have decided to move the 2020 edition of Art on the Porches to Saturday September 26th.    It is our belief that when all of this is over we will need to come together once again to celebrate art, music, family and community.   We will also need to celebrate each other and there is no better place to do so than in the neighborhoods of our resilient city. That’s why we think Art on the Porches is an important place to come together and collectively heal.

From live streaming in-home produced concerts, to live readings of books for children & grownups, to drive by art installations, art continues to celebrate life and our life as a community together.  It’s truly remarkable to see all the creativity that continues to bloom.

We are grateful that through this we continue to get artist registrations for our event both at our Eventbrite page and via the paper form here on our website.

To our artists and vendors:

We hope you can still be with us on the new date, but please know that in the event you are unable to for any reason, we will be issuing refunds for your registration fee for the 2020 event upon request.  In the event that we are unable to host the 2020 event at all we will issue refunds to everyone.  Unfortunately, Eventbrite fees cannot be refunded.  Please note that this supersedes any language on our prospectus or any other documentation for the Art on the Porches 2020.

To our visitors who have been so loyal to our event for so long:

Please check our Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for updates.  We look forward to celebrating art, music and our wonderful Strathmore neighborhood with you all this fall.

To our sponsors:

We know times are tough, you have always been there for Art on the Porches, we will be here for you. We will always support our local businesses and encourage others to do the same year round.  Coming together as a community means supporting our local businesses too.

To everyone:

Please allow art and music to lift your soul in these uncertain times.  When you see local art, or music being shared out there, please feel free to tag Art on the Porches so all of our pages followers can see it out there.  We are planning to be able to show you a poster with the new date soon.  We look forward to seeing you on September 26th.

Please stay healthy and make sure that includes your spirits as well.

With love,

Kelly, Eric, Chuck, Kathleen, John, Jason, Jason & Paul
