Art on the Porches 2015 will be June 20th on Ruskin Avenue in the historic neighborhood of Strathmore. This year’s festival will be our 16th annual and has become a staple of the arts community in the City of Syracuse.  Last year Art on the Porches saw crowds of nearly 3,000 people come out to people to engage with over 30 local artists, listen to nine bands and eat delicious food from local vendors.  2014 was a special year for the children.  We initiated our Global Art Expedition where the children toured the world of art.  They stamped their passports as they visited the art of eight different countries and created community art projects and take home crafts; all of this us underwritten by our generous sponsors and the Greater Strathmore Neighborhood Association.
Art on the Porches 2015 is on par to be an excellent event.  There will be new artists and bands joining the perennial favorites as well as additional food vendors.  We are also partnering with friends of Strathmore who have an impact on our city.  Groups such as Believe in Syracuse and many others will set up to share the good works they are doing.  Art on the Porches not only promotes the unique urban lifestyle that is Strathmore by the Park but also is a bridge to the art community in Syracuse as a whole.
